Website SEO · the slow one that compounds

«The site exists, but nobody finds it»

Pages that answer what people actually type

Most small business sites are written from the inside out: what we offer, in the words we use for it. Search works the other way round.

Website SEO is the work that gets your pages into search results for the things customers type before they are ready to call. It is slower than ads and slower than the profile — and it is the only one that keeps working after you stop paying.

Why it isn't found

Three reasons, and you can check all of them today

Almost every small business site fails on one of these. None of the checks needs us.

  1. 01

    01

There is no page for what people search. One page tries to cover every service, so it answers none of them properly — and Google has nothing specific to show.

How to checkSearch Google for your main service plus your town. See whether any page of yours appears at all, and which one.

What we doWe find which searches have real demand near you and give each one a page that actually answers it.

  2. 02

    02

Google cannot read the site properly. Slow on a phone, blocked pages, missing titles — none of it visible to you, all of it visible to Google.

How to checkOpen your site on a phone on mobile data, not wifi. Count how long until you can read something.

What we doWe fix what is blocking indexing and speed first. It rarely wins on its own and it holds everything else back.

  3. 03

    03

The pages read like a brochure. Written to describe the company rather than answer a question, so nobody finishes them — and Google notices that too.

How to checkRead your service page out loud. Count how many sentences are about you rather than about the customer's problem.

What we doWe rewrite around the question the page is meant to answer, in the words people use to ask it.

How it unfolds

Six months, honestly

Nothing here happens in week one. This is the shape of it, so you can decide whether that suits you before we start.

Result in positionsthe line is almost flat at the start: foundations first
  1. Month 1

    Audit, then the technical blockers

Nothing visible yet, and anyone saying otherwise is guessing

  2. Month 2

    First pages written and published

Still nothing in the results. This is normal and it is the hardest month

  3. Month 3

More pages; the earliest ones start moving

First movement, usually on the least competitive terms

  4. Month 4

    Existing pages rewritten

Enough data to tell what is working from what is not

  5. Month 5

    Mentions elsewhere; measurement

Traffic that is not your company name starts to appear

  6. Month 6

    The shape becomes visible

    Now the numbers mean something

Six months is not a promise of position. It is how long before the report says anything worth acting on.

What it consists of

Five groups, and the first one comes before everything

Not a checklist to impress you — the order genuinely matters.

  1. 01

    01

Technical: what stops Google reading the site

    • Indexing checked page by page
    • Speed on a phone, not on your desktop
    • Titles and descriptions that exist and differ
    • Mobile layout that does not break
    • Structured data where it earns something
    • Broken links and redirect chains
  2. 02

    02

Structure: a page per real question

    • Which searches have demand near you
    • One page per question, not one page for six
    • Internal links so pages support each other
    • URLs that a human can read
    • Navigation that matches how people ask
    • Pages that should not exist, removed
  3. 03

    03

    Content: written to be finished

    • The question first, the company second
    • Words customers use, not industry words
    • Answers specific enough to be useful
    • Photos of your work, not stock images
    • Updated when the service changes
    • Nothing written for a robot to count
  4. 04

    04

Outside the site: how the rest of the web talks about you

    • Listings that say the same as your profile
    • Mentions in places that matter locally
    • Nothing bought in bulk, ever
    • Links earned by being worth linking to
    • Cleaning up what is inconsistent
    • Watching what competitors are doing
  5. 05

    05

Measurement: so the report says something

    • Search Console set up properly
    • Which pages bring enquiries, not visits
    • What people searched to arrive
    • Where they leave and why
    • Monthly, in plain words
    • No impression counts

The first group usually takes a month and changes more than the next three combined.

Speed

How fast is fast enough

Google measures how long until the main thing on the page appears. On a phone, on mobile data — not on your office wifi.

  • +21,6%more people get from the first field of a form to sending it — for every tenth of a second the page loads fasterDeloitte × Google · 37 brands, 30m sessions
  • −8,3%fewer people leave an information page, from the same tenth of a secondthe same study, lead generation section

Speed alone will not put you first. But a slow page loses the visitor you already earned, and that is money spent twice.

What we check before quoting anything

We look first and tell you what we found, whether or not you carry on with us.

  • 01 · 01

  • 02 · 02

  • 03 · 03

  • 04 · 04

You get the findings in plain words, and a straight answer on whether this is the right thing to spend on right now.

Plainly

Four things we will say that others might not

These are the things that decide whether this works out, and they are better said now than in month three.

  • 01

    This is the slow channel

Technical fixes show in weeks. New pages take months to settle. Competitive terms take longer than that. If you need work next week, ads are the honest answer and we will say so.

  • 02

    Sometimes you don't need it

For a plumber or a barber, a strong profile in Maps often does more than a site would, and costs less. We would rather tell you that than sell you the bigger thing.

  • 03

    We don't buy links

They work until they don't, and when they stop they take the site with them. Everything we do has to survive the next update.

  • 04

    Positions are not the point

A first place on a search nobody makes is worth nothing. We measure enquiries, and we would rather be third on a search that pays than first on one that doesn't.

None of this is modesty. It is what the last four years have taught us costs the least to say early.

Questions

What people ask before starting

Not covered here? Email us and we'll answer in plain words.

How long before I see anything?

Technical fixes show within weeks. New pages take a few months to settle into a position. Competitive terms take longer. Anyone giving you a date is guessing.

Can you guarantee first place?

No, and nobody honestly can. What we can do is show you month by month what is moving and what is not, in enquiries rather than impressions.

Do I need this if my profile works?

Not always. The profile brings people searching nearby right now; the site answers the longer questions people ask before they are ready. If your work is urgent-callout only, the profile may be enough — and we will say so.

Do I have to commit for a year?

No. Monthly, with a month's notice. The site, the domain and every account stay in your name.

What happens if I stop?

The pages stay and keep working. That is the difference between this and ads — it fades slowly rather than stopping the same day.
