Google Ads · work now, not next quarter

«We ran ads. Nothing came of it»

Ads that buy enquiries, not impressions

Ads are the fastest way to be seen and the fastest way to waste money. The difference is almost never the size of the budget — it is what you are bidding on.

Google Ads puts you above the results for searches you choose, and charges you when somebody clicks. It is the one channel that can bring work this week — and the one that stops the day you stop paying.

Where the money goes

A hundred pounds of budget, followed to the end

Every stage loses people. The job is not to stop that — it is to lose the right ones early, before they cost you a click.

  1. 01 · 0110 000 ₴

Shown to people searching. Negative keywords decide who never sees you — and save more than clever bidding does.

  2. 02 · 0283 000

Clicked. This is where the money actually leaves: you pay here whether or not anything follows.

  3. 03 · 031 250

Read the page. If it answers a different question from the ad, the click is already lost.

  4. 04 · 0421

Got in touch. The only number on this page that pays a wage.

We look at the campaign

every 3 days

That is the shape of a working account. A broken one loses everything at the second stage and nobody notices, because the report shows impressions.

The percentages are the shape of the funnel, not a promise. Yours will differ by trade and by town.

What the ratio looks like

Spend against enquiries

The only comparison that matters: what went out, and what came back.

Spend

Enquiries

cost per enquiry — the figure we manage against, and the one that goes in the report

From our own account, in Ukraine. We show it because it is real, not because your numbers will match it.

Who charges you for what

Two bills, and they are not the same thing

This is the question British businesses ask first, and it deserves a straight answer.

Google

The budget

Charged per click, straight from your card

  • You set the ceiling and it is never exceeded
  • The account is in your name from day one
  • You can see every penny in the account yourself
  • Stop any day and the spending stops with it

Us

The management fee

A flat monthly fee, agreed before we start

  • A fixed amount, not a percentage of your budget
  • Because a percentage would make us want you to spend more
  • Monthly, with a month's notice to stop
  • Nothing to buy back — the account was always yours

If an agency takes a cut of your ad spend, its interests and yours point in different directions. That is not an accusation, it is arithmetic.

The work

What managing an account actually means

Six things, and the first two save more money than the rest combined.

  1. 01

Start from the jobs, not the keywords

Which work you want more of, and which you would rather not have. That decides everything downstream.

  2. 02

    Negative keywords, constantly

The searches you must never pay for. This list grows every week and is where most wasted spend lives.

  3. 03

    The page behind the click

An ad can only be as good as what it lands on. If the page is the problem, we say so instead of raising the bid.

  4. 04

    Bidding by what pays

Budget follows the searches that produce calls. What spends without producing gets cut — and you see what was cut.

  5. 05

    Call and form tracking

So the report can say «enquiries» rather than «clicks». Without it nobody can tell working from wasteful.

  6. 06

A monthly report you can read

Spend, enquiries, cost per enquiry. No quality-score chart, no impression count.

How fast

The one channel that can start this week

  3. First weekfirst enquiriesthen the campaign learns on real traffic
  4. 4–6 weeksa steady cost per enquiryand it moves with the season

Ads or search

Which of the two is the honest answer

They are not competitors. They answer different questions, and the wrong one is expensive.

Questions

What people ask before spending anything

Not covered here? Email us and we'll answer in plain words.

Is the management fee the same as my budget?

No, and this is worth being clear about. The budget goes to Google and is charged per click. Our fee is separate, flat, and agreed before we start — it does not rise when your spend does.

Do you take a percentage of my ad spend?

No. A percentage would mean we earn more when you spend more, and we would rather not have that pulling at our decisions.

Whose account is it?

Yours, in your name, from day one. You can see every penny in it yourself, and if we stop working together nothing needs transferring.

How small a budget is too small?

There is a floor below which the numbers are noise rather than data — it depends on your trade and how much a click costs in it. We will tell you if we think yours is under it, before you spend anything.

Can you guarantee a cost per enquiry?

No. We can tell you what we see in your market and manage towards it, and show you the figure every month. Anyone promising a number before looking at your account is guessing.

What happens if I stop?

The spending stops the same day. That is the nature of ads, not a flaw — and it is exactly why the profile and the site should carry the steady part.
